205 A New Old Park

This morning the kids were restless so we decided to head to the park. I chose a park I loved when I was a kid. Of course, the equipment is different, but the shady grass and rock-wall bridges were still there. I told the kids about the days of end-of-the-year picnics and birthday parties. I looked for the old city pool, which has long since been filled in and covered up. We hunted for acorns amid giant oak trees and hungry squirrels. Sweet childhood memories filled my mind.

Looking for acorns under ancient oak trees!

Baby M rests her head on the rock-wall bridge.

They remind me of baby Batman and Robin.
