185 Her Space

For about a year now we have been working on creating a special space for each of the girls in their rooms. We hit a few road bumps, but are finally almost there. Little D has the smallest room in the house. The only way we could fit a bed, dresser and desk in her room was to go up. Yes, we added a second story to Little D's room. Well, not actually a second story, but rather a loft bed. Her bed is raised far enough off the floor to make room for a desk work space. My friend, an all around incredibly creative person, designed this ultra-functional bed. She used thrift-store and garage sale furniture to create it using the following pieces: a full-sized bed, a coffee-table top for the desk, a bamboo-dresser, and a night-stand table. She combined them all with some additional wood, paint and a whole lot of vision to create a masterpiece. I can't show it all to you because it's too big, but what I can show you is how much Little D loves the natural light as is pours onto her desk space...

I can also show you how much someone else wants to be just like her big sister...

Or maybe she just wants to rule the world...
