Today I went to Disneyland with my mom, my brother and sister-in-law, my daughters and my nieces and nephew. I decided to bring my old (actually only a year old, but not used any more) point-and-shoot camera because I didn't want to have to worry about my DSLR along with everyone and everything else. Well, I regretted it at the start of the day. I was frustrated because I couldn't get the camera to perform the way I wanted. A point-and-shoot can do a lot of things, but it doesn't compare to a DSLR. I'm no expert, nor am I a professional, but I've learned enough about my camera to know how to work it to get the best photos for my ability. It wasn't until later when I downloaded the photos and fixed them up a little in Lightroom that I realized it didn't really matter. The photos weren't about art, but rather about capturing the memories. And, the memories were pretty darn sweet!
