We have the good fortune to live near the beach and we go there often...like daily. But this day at the beach was a little different and special because my stepdaughter and grandson joined us. It's been years since my stepdaughter had a break in her life to drive down from Northern California. When kids grow up and get jobs, you don't get to see them as often as you would like. And, as a result, our grandson had never seen our home or our beach.
I will tell you though, that Danielle couldn't have planned it better. I think this was one of the best Father's Day gifts for my husband; to have all our kids under one roof...around one dinner table...together on our beach. And for me, it was an opportunity to photograph so many of the people I love at a place I love to be. Thankfully, my girls hijacked my camera so I got in a few photos too!
I can tell you that going to the beach might be an ordinary occurrence for us...and it might be for you as well...but it made for a very special photo session.
